8.2 Transfer Function by ServoMax Model

8.2.1 Disclaimer

This section provides representative Laplace transfer functions for each ServoMax product.

(a) Due to differences in test environments and conditions, the information below may vary slightly.

(b) Additionally, when the user system is connected to the Servo, the transfer function may also vary depending on the system dynamics (e.g., friction, center of gravity, inertia) and the applied control gains.

8.3 Memory Map and Parameters

[Caution]

(a) READ_WRITE parameters can be modified by the user. READ_ONLY parameters are factory-reserved, but some information is disclosed to the user for managing product configuration (e.g., software version) of the purchased unit.

(b) Refer to the "Effective" column in the table below to determine when the updated values take effect.

(c) The CAN BAUDRATE setting is applied to ServoMax immediately upon change. Therefore, if there is active traffic on the CAN bus when the ServoMax baudrate is changed, most other nodes on the CAN bus will enter a Bus Passive state. As a result, after changing the baudrate, all CAN controllers connected to the CAN bus must be manually reset unless they support Auto Bus Reset functionality.

For safety reasons, baudrate changes should only be performed in a depot environment, where ServoMax is connected one-to-one with the ServoMax Maintenance PC.

(d) The DIRECTION parameter can only be changed when both the Output Shaft Position and the Offset value are less than 1 degree (AND condition). If DIRECTION is changed while either the Output Shaft or Offset value is relatively large, the Output Shaft may suddenly move in the opposite direction from its current position. This may result in damage to connected user structures or cause the ServoMax to stall. To prevent such risks, this restriction has been implemented.

(e) The value of RANGE.POSITION COMMAND MINIMUM [DEG] can only be changed if it is less than the MAXIMUM [DEG] value. Likewise, MAXIMUM [DEG] can only be changed if it is greater than the MINIMUM [DEG] value.
